Life Lately .2

What a month! I never expected November to be this hectic. Maybe the semester break on the start of the month is meant to be there to get my body ready for all the crazy things that would happen. I have never had a more busy month in my life. Here is a list of the things I've been meddling with for the past weeks: 1.  I organized my first workshop as an intern! It was an amazing ride with only 2 weeks to prepare the kit and the whole thing. You can watch the video Banana and I made right HERE . She added the cute animation and I directed the video. The workshop was for Earl Tawny , a brush calligrapher based here in Cebu. It was fun and stressful but so worth it. I'm currently in the process of organizing another one... which just made me realize that I haven't even made a poster for it! Ohmygod I'm gonna diieeeee 2. I've been taking a lot of photos of paintings lately but not much of my life as a blogger (haha). I'm still poor (will send you an upd...

On Wednesdays...

Due to my poor time management skills, I failed to post these photos on Wednesday. I suck at this ohmygod  Sunnies by Charlie : Morgan Should I talk about the outfit? I kind of don't want to but since this is an outfit post, why the hell not. So,       Shirt : thrifted     Pants : Bench           Patch : Cotton On       Glasses : duh Yes, ladies and gentlemen, these photos were shot in a comfort room. My friends and I was just casually minding our own shit (excuse the cr pun) when I realized all of a sudden that the colors of the comfort room and my outfit matched! I HAD to take photos and so I did. A couple of girls went in and instantly gave me the judgy vibe but I HAD A BLOG TO RUN so I just posed and snapped. Thanks to my friend Angie for the photos! Also, I edited a little bit (in case you didn't notice). It kind of made it look like a chemical lab. Xo, Benj

Cuppa Folk : Birdseed Breakfast Club + Café

Last Saturday night, I was invited to Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe to watch Cuppa Folk again. Hanna had 2 sets ready for her time to sing and I listened with their Iced Kopi Jelly in hand. Their coffee blend is to die for and their interiors feel so homey and warm. It reminds me of Brique but Birdseed is more modern (in a way). Some screenshots of my Instagram story. Follow me  @hello.benj. I might visit Birdseed again soon because I actually want a different post dedicated to their food and service. But for now, here are just glimpses of it through the event and the *always* filmed photos of this post. I was with Mikee, Chin, Cire (Hanna's company) and (my company) Zaira and Lai. I don't have them in photos but I might sneak one soon. mehehe  Cuppa Folk  is a monthly * I think* event organized by 22 Tango Records. 22 Tango is an independent record label here in Cebu. They mentor and sign local artists and help them s...

Prick

Hello! Talking to you through a photo of my new child, Antonio Roberto Regis . He is a gift from Hanna. I was sick that day so she bought this and visited to cheer me up (thanks buchi! hahaha) . Anyway, I'm actually pumped up because the semester is over! Well, not yet really. I still have a deadline and thesis surveys to tend to but atleast I can now paint in the mornings and make my own breakfast.  Oh, I forgot internship. I still have my internship to attend 3x every week. I love what I do at Moon jogger so it's not really that bad. I shoot flatlays, organize workshops and pitch ideas to make the place better. I actually am excited for a work my friend will give me once she's settled with her new business. I don't want to jinx it so I won't spill details. I'm really hoping it will push through. I have logo revisions to do. Thanks for stopping by! Xo, Benj.

Tom N Toms Coffee / Where Am I?

I have been playing hide and seek with my creativity these past few weeks. With our thesis defense and our futures on the line, I can't just frolic around and blog to my heart's content. I had shit to do. Although now that the defense is done, I still couldn't find time to shoot on purpose and create something more than just an update from my very mundane day to day life. Nevertheless, here is a Where Am I? entry for you to have a little something to read on. I did put in a lot of effort to the editing of the photos because 1. I love process and 2. The photos put me in an editing mood. They're one of the most "blank canvas" photos shot by Hanna Banana. A little info about Tom N Toms: 1. 24 hours open (yay) 2. Great food 3. OK drinks (coffee specifically) 4. Amazing interior 5. Slow service 6. Moderately fast Wi-Fi That's all I have so far. It was my first visit after all. Say h...

Life Lately .1

I wanted to post a Life Lately  entry but I don't have enough photos. Life has been so busy lately and my lack of a proper camera (one that's handy and takes good photos) has been getting in the way of my shutterbug. My phone is broken in more ways than one and I'm not sure when I'd have the mollah to fix it. In shorter terms: " My life has been a mess. ". Well, not completely. My groupmates and I passed our thesis defense! Yay for us and all the ones who passed. Advertising thesis is no joke. Aside from the usual hand-breaking, tear-jerking scholarly writing, naa pa gyuy other plates na mudungan. Oh, and I'm having quite a blast with my multimedia class. *note the sarcasm* Coding and I never really were meant for each other. Walang forever na mangyayari sa aming dalawa hahaha. But I hope I can make it through the semester. Back to the Life Lately dilemma... I guess I just have to suck it up and use my digital point a...

An Artist's Reverie : Cafe Jasmin

When looking for a coffee shop to hang-out and lurk in, the first  quality I look for is the feel of home . I'm not entirely sure if that makes any sense to some but for those who feel me, raise your mugs.
