Messy Bessy

Starting this blog post with an apology. I haven't posted anything since April and for that, I apologize. I actually have been doing a lot of research as to what my brand is because I legit want to blog more seriously this year. And I am taking this seriously! Which is why it took me so long to produce another post for you guys. I don't want my posts to be just another "backlog" so for the past few weeks that I have been MIA, I have been contacting and have been collaborating with people and store owners to create content for the blog. So, watch out for more consistent and diverse content soon! But enough about that for now. Let me show you how my first visit at Coffee Prince was! Scroll down for more :) Coffee Prince is the perfect Instagramable cafe for artsy-farts like me. The place is filled with murals and paintings made with different art styles. There was even a table that is painted with a Yayoi Kusama inspired piece. I didn't have enough time to...

Life Lately : Professional Tambay

As some of you know, I recently graduated just this April and the pressure that comes with being unemployed is killing me. I never really thought of it before. I was actually even eager to finish school and dip my toes in the professional world but now that I'm finally on the shore, I can't bring myself to move forward and feel the cold waters that real life has yet to offer. I had a plan, actually.   I planned on applying as a Starbucks Barista because if you know me, you'll know that it has been one of my biggest dreams to work as a barista and where better else than my favorite (please don't call me basic) coffee shop? I know I didn't take an HRM course or any course related to food, preparing drinks, whatever. I took up Advertising Arts for crying out loud and I don't regret it for one single bit. Its just that I know that I'm young and if there is any time for me to try out different things, it's now, right? Sadly, my Aunt and Uncle c...

Vintage Ralph's

This shirt is older than me. It belonged to my Lolo (Grandfather) and is still in mint condition. I love how clothes that were made decades ago are still immaculate up to this day. Well, aside from the fact that my Lolo was such a neat freak (he is very particular about his things), it still is quite impressive that a shirt like this still holds up its silhouette and material.   Shirt: Ralph Lauren Jeans : ForMe Sneakers: Adidas Stan Smiths Specs: Sunnies c/o Hanna Ending this post with a duo-photo from Hanna. Taken at 856G Gallery during their Fortuna Circuit : Our Current Condition   Exhibibt. I blogged about it last week.Checkout the post now! Click this (^-^) Channeling my inner "Camie Juan" with bangs and vintage finds. She is such an style-spiration but I never forget to put my little twists on it whenever I find myself scrolling through her gram in times of needed style inspo. Thanks Camie!!! Anyhoo, I hope you guys liked the post! Tomorrow's graduat...

FORTUNA CIRCUIT : Our Current Condition

Kicking off this new series on the blog with an exhibit from various artists in Metro Cebu. Fortuna Circuit : Our Current Condition opened last week(ish), March 23, 2017. It was my first time viewing 856 G Gallery with the white walls and I gotta say, that it looks hella good. Wait, no, actually it looks better than the walls before which were painted black.  I didn't read up on the meaning behind the exhibit prior to my viewing because my visit was actually unexpected. My girlfriend and I were driving to school when I saw 856 G's sign that has the exhibit's name and date. We had to stop by. I've been itching to do a series like this on the blog but I never had the chance to go to the past exhibits that 856 G and Qube had but now that the semester is (almost) over, I promise to keep you guys in the loop of all things art here in Cebu. Enough chat, here are the photos of some of my favorite artworks. Also, please let me know if the editing style is too m...

Luminous

Hello, I'm finally writing again after a month of hiatus. It's been crazy-busy with thesis and projects coming my way. I'm happy I finally have time to edit photos and write a little here and there.  Hope you like the photos! Hanna shot them a couple of weeks back. They felt a bit gloomy so I added a couple of painted light leaks. I can never post anything without color in it. I love my pastels too much. I'm wearing a top from South Shores and my culottes are thrifted by my very thoughtful friend, Emery. She gave them to me just because . Can you believe people like that still exist? :) She is such a great friend and something in her feels... warm and soulful. I hope to meet more people like her. I feel like updating you with the hustle that's been happening lately at school and other stuff so be on the look out for a Life Lately post this week or next week (depending on my mood). I don't want blogging to be a stressful activity so I'm...

Travel Diary: Bohol / Where Am I?

Here I am with a backlog trying to make up for January where I had 3 blog posts planned about starting the year right but only posted 2 of them. I feel bad for ignoring this blog and failing to shoot something. So here's a travel diary when we went to Bohol last year, during my birthday weekend.  We were a 30-minute fast-craft, boat ride away from Bohol.  The Koi ponds in the lobby and at the entrance of the hotel (Bellevue) where we stayed at were my favorite. I have a thing for fishes and sea creatures. My friends found it odd that I'm not afraid of deep waters and what lies beneath. I love deep, dark sea water and the thought that there might be thousands of fishes and (possibly) sharks underneath excite me. Weird, noh? We explored a little. Did a couple of touristy activities. Churches, Butterfly farms, Chocolate Hills but I've been here more than 8 times (I think), so I didn't take much photos. But I do have another post about Bohol nex...

#AskBenj : What is the Importance of Planning Ahead?

I have been asked this question a lot of times whenever I am caught writing down (instead of typing on my phone) tasks and shit that I need to do. So I thought I'd share with you the reasons why planning is a very important thing that will help you achieve anything you want to accomplish whether your goal is towards a healthier lifestyle or just a passion project that you've always wanted to do. Always with a pen (or 4 pens) and a planner at hand, I jot down EVERYTHING that pops in my mind whether it be a blog post idea, a random thought or a last-minute "eureka" moment for a campaign. I write more than I talk to people, tbh. Not that I'm an introvert. I just really like writing. And what I love about it is that I remember the things that I write more than the things I see, hear or type. That's actually the first answer to today's question: Disclaimer: Written here are just thoughts and opinions that I think are the reason why planning has helped inc...
